Details regarding GOTR registration:
Each child will need a Running Buddy over the age of 16 years old who will run with them on two occasions – the practice 5K in late spring and at the 5K Celebration in June. Child may have only ONE Running Buddy and once named on the registration form, no additional forms need to be filled out. Families are fully responsible for finding a Running Buddy for their child.
Registration fee is $100 per child for the 10 week season and 5K Celebration. The registration fee includes 20 lessons, program supplies, one complimentary t-shirt, the 5K Celebration and all included activities — and of course, the making of a million memories!
Financial Assistance is available on a sliding scale fee but you must request assistance on the registration form. Based on the income information put in, the registration fees range from $30-$100.
Full scholarships are available by calling the Council at 607-776-9467 ext. 229. Registration for full scholarships will be processed over the phone. Please do not fill out the online form.
Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.
